I. Precautions for Use of Intelligent Key
➢ Mark that intelligent key is effectively distinguished by the vehicle: after the brake pedal is trampled, red indicator lamp of intelligent key blinks and green indicator lamp of start switch is normally on. Thus, before starting the vehicle, ensure intelligent key is placed inside the vehicle and effectively identified by the vehicle.
➢ Emergency starting method of vehicle: in case intelligent key battery is lack of electricity, pop up the mechanical key inside intelligent key to open the door, and then place the intelligent key in effective identification zone just above immobilizer coil (IMMO coil), start the vehicle according to normal starting method.
➢ If the personnel inside the vehicle implements the mechanical unlock after lock/unlock by mechanical key, and reconnects 12V regular power after it is disconnected, Body Control Module (BCM) security alarm may be triggered, in this condition, caution light blinks at very high frequency, and alarm can be eliminated by unlocking/locking once by intelligent key.
➢ Do not place the intelligent key inside the vehicle. To ensure safety, after the vehicle is locked by one intelligent key, system will disenable another intelligent key left in the vehicle; in this case, use the undisabled intelligent key to deblock the vehicle and then enable the intelligent key left in the vehicle.
II. Precautions for Vehicle Starting
➢ At gear OFF, press the start switch once, gear can be shifted to ACC; press the start switch again, gear can be shifted to OFF. At gear OFF or gear ACC, trample the brake pedal and press the start switch once, gear can be shifted to ON; at gear ON, press the start switch once, gear can be shifted to OFF.
➢ Gear can be shifted to ON only when brake pedal is trampled.
➢ If the vehicle malfunctions and sends an alarm, vehicle cannot be started in the conventional methods above, press the start switch for 3 seconds to shift to gear ACC, and then press the start switch once to shift to gear OFF, finally, restart the vehicle according to the normal starting method.
III. Driving Mileage and Prompt Message
➢ When system estimates the current battery can only provide 50km driving mileage, combined instrument will show driving mileage prompt; if the estimated driving mileage is greater than 50km, instrument will not show the driving mileage.
➢ The driving mileage is estimated value, only for reference by driver and passenger.
➢ The actual driving mileage relates to various factors such as current road condition, driving habit, temperature, air conditioning condition, degree of battery attenuation.
➢ When the combined instrument gives a hint “it is ** kilometers from next maintenance”, please conduct maintenance and service at authorized service station as soon as possible.
➢ Setting method of overspeed alarm value of combined instrument: press the left and right function shifter levers of combined instrument for 2 seconds simultaneously, combined instrument will pop up a setting interface, select the overspeed alarm setting by left and right shifter levers, and adjust to the suitable value and then return to main interface.
IV. Precautions for Use in Extreme Environment such as Rain, High Temperature and Low Temperature
1. Driving Precautions
➢ On rainy days or at the trench with deep water level, avoid driving the vehicle into the water if possible; if not, fording depth of vehicle shall not exceed 120mm.
➢ If insulation alarm indicator lamp of combined instrument is lit during driving, please stop the vehicle and turn off the start switch immediately, open the warming light and contact the ZHIDOU authorized service provider nearby for assistance.
➢ If the vehicle stops due to wading through water carelessly, please turn off the start switch immediately, open the warming light and contact the ZHIDOU authorized service provider nearby for assistance. It is prohibited to restart the vehicle.
➢ When driving in the high temperature weather, pay special attention to check the tire air pressure, ensure tire air pressure is within the proper range (220Kpa±10Kpa) to avoid tire burst.
➢ Opening the air-conditioning system will reduce about 20% of driving mileage.
➢ To ensure the battery quantity is within safety range, when battery quantity is below 10%, air-conditioning system will be closed forcedly. Thus, in summer and winter, frequently check and supplement the battery quantity to ensure air conditioner can be used in high temperature or low temperature environment.
➢ To protect the power battery and lengthen the service life of power battery, when battery quantity is below 35%, vehicle may start the power reduction driving mode and power reduction indicator lamp will be lit, in this case, vehicle power performance will be reduced and vehicle shall be charged timely.
➢ If possible, avoid using air conditioner for long time when vehicle stops. As drive motor and motor controller adopt the forced air cooling system, if air-conditioning system is opened, condenser fan may cause poor heat dissipation of motor controller, and power reduction indicator lamp will be lit once temperature exceeds 65℃; in this case, close the air-conditioning system or drive the vehicle for a while, power reduction alarm will be eliminated automatically; if not, please contact ZHIDOU authorized service provider nearby for assistance.
➢ In addition, if vehicle is started after exposing to high temperature environment, temperature of front engine compartment may exceed 65℃, thus causing power reduction indicator lamp to be lit; in this case, drive the vehicle for a while, power reduction alarm will be eliminated automatically; if not, please contact ZHIDOU authorized service provider nearby for assistance.
➢ At lower ambient temperature, pay attention to the maintenance of 12V normal battery and check the leakage and pole oxidization. If vehicle will not be used for a long time, it is suggested to remove the battery cathode to prevent vehicle from failing to start due to battery loss.
➢ Normal discharge ambient temperature of vehicle is -10℃-45℃, please stop to use vehicle at ambient temperature of below -20℃.
➢ If the vehicle drives in low temperature environment (below-10℃), to protect the power battery, system will limit the power output of power battery, at this time, power reduction indicator lamp of instrument will be lit; after temperature rises, power reduction warming indicator lamp will be eliminated automatically; if not, please contact ZHIDOU authorized service provider nearby for assistance.
2. Parking Precautions
➢ ZHIDOU electric vehicle shall be parked in a clean and well-ventilated area. It is not allowed to park the vehicle in humid environment for a long time.
➢ Avoid parking the vehicle in such places: waterlogged underground parking garage, non-hardened road, mountainous area, dam etc.
➢ Do not park the vehicle in the environment (over 45 ℃) for over 8 hours, and do not park the vehicle in the environment (-20℃) for over 12 hours.
➢ For the vehicle which is parked for a long time, charge and maintain it every one month. It is prohibited to park the vehicle for over 7 days when battery quantity is under 10%.
3. Charging Precautions
➢ Before charging, check the charging socket, plug and charger, in case abnormal conditions such as moisture, rusting, flooding, plug blockage are found, charging operation is prohibited.
➢ Use the 220V domestic single-phase AC power with reliable ground wire for charging, 380V three-phase AC power is prohibited.
➢ Pay attention to the rain protection of charger and charging opening during charger plugging and unplugging to prevent rain from entering into charger and charging socket.
➢ During charging, in-cable control box and power supply socket shall be placed indoors or protected from rain. It is prohibited to conduct the charging operation in the condition that the in-cable control box and power supply socket are exposed to the rain.
➢ After charging, put the charger away timely and keep properly. If charging pile is used, after charging, charger shall be inserted into charging pile socket. It is prohibited to throw the charger freely to avoid electric shock.
➢ It is suggested to stop the charging operation in extreme weather such as rainy day and windstorm day.
➢ Charging shall avoid power consumption peak. As grid voltage is unstable during power consumption peak period, it may cause charger to start the power-reduction charging mode, thus lengthening the charging time correspondingly.
➢ As the weather is hot and dry during summer, and may cause fire, pay attention to ventilate and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.
➢ The optimum ambient temperature of charging is 10℃-40℃. In order to protect the power battery, when ambient temperature is below 0℃, charger will start the heating mode and conduct power-reduction charging by gears to lengthen the charging time correspondingly. When ambient temperature is above 45℃, charging is prohibited.
